2010 Junior Achievement

JA Volunteers Needed! JA will be starting soon in our classrooms!

We are seeking volunteers who are interested in teaching our children about economics that surround our daily livesThe core purpose of Junior Achievement is “To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy”.  It is a fun, curriculum-based program that ties into our school curriculum and is presented by parent volunteers. There are no qualifications for getting involved at all, you do not need to be a “business person”. All that you need is a desire to help prepare our youth and provide them, in a fun way, with the knowledge they’ll need to succeed in life. Junior Achievement is the largest and oldest provider of economic education for elementary aged children. Walker is proud and excited to be one of the only two elementary schools in McKinney to provide this wonderful program to our children. If you would like to be a JA Volunteer or for more information, please contact: Amy Martin at amymartin121@yahoo.com or 469-450-4342.
